12th Annual San Jose Saxophone Christmas

Post by Wildabeast » Fri Nov 11, 2005 5:17 pm

It's on! December 17th. 1 morning rehearsal (@ Monroe Middle School) & 2 performances (Xmas in the Park and Eastridge Mall).

Ray Bernd will be sending flyers to the local schools either on Saturday (11/12), or Monday (11/14).

Participation fees went up to $20.00 to cover logistics.

If you live outside the San Jose area and would be interested in coming, contact Ray Bernd at saxphon@yahoo.com. If you live locally and didn't get a registration form, you can also contact him at the same email address.

For the past couple years, we've had over 200 players. Hopefully we'll have at least that many again.

I wonder what that mall (Eastridge) looks like now. We didn't have it there last year due to remodeling.

The website is updated to include information this year. New registration forms are in pdf form for download at the site. Jump on the "sax"-wagon and find your way to San Jose. We've had people from San Diego to Seattle. Register by Dec. 12th to at least ensure yourself of a t-shirt.

224 saxoholics today.

One came from San Diego, and another all the way from Massachusettes.

No more Eastridge performances though, and they wouldn't allow for San Jose Tubafest either.
