Haha... okay.Ryan H. Turner wrote:How 'bout you listen to your Visual Performance tape instead from the Vista Tournament, for I shall be parked in that pressbox for about, ohhhhhhhhhhh, 13 hours!FluteOfTheNewWorld wrote:Agreed. AND IT'S MY SENIOR YEAR!!March4Life wrote:
It's tradition to hear your voice at competitions! It just wouldn't be the same without hearing you once this season! I think I'm going to go through withdrawals!
How about doing Vista again?
Will we still be seeing some reviews?
Maybe since you won't be announcing, those cows at Vista won't also be going crazy to hear your voice.

Ryan should start off each tape like that.
Go read "Ishmael" a novel by Daniel Quinn. It will literally change your life.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh you had to bring up those DAMNED COWS!!!
Rule #1.
I will be professional as I will REALLY be the "voice" of SCSBOA now. So--funny and as cute and as tickled as I am by the idea--I'll be saying "Hello, this Ryan H. Turner from the SCSBOA, judging you here today in the area of Visual Performance at the Such and Such Tournament on Month, date, year. I'll be looking at your show in the 3 major subcaptions, including coordination of all elements, blah blah blah, and blah blah blah. I want to wish you the best of luck and I'll be back as soon as you're ready."
Rule #2.
I made the decision that once a judge, i would NOT critique shows on WOP. If I announce, fair game. But if I'm JUDGING, no no no. Not good. Why? Well, regardless of the fact that I'm THERE, I've got a job to do. I don't want to cheat you kids out of my attention because I'm thinking with one part of my massively complex brain about what my article is going to be like. See what I mean? I need to give all my effort to making sure I'm evaluating your visual performances accurately as I can. That is, of course, I have enough Diet Coke on board!!!
Rule #3.
MARCH WELL AND BE CONFIDENT. And you will get amazingly funny and positive tapes from me. Go out and NOT know what you're doing, I will struggle to keep from launching into you. I KID!!! But I do hype on tapes--I have quite a reputation for being, how should I say, ENTHUSIASTIC on tape. Go for it--you'll like it.
Have fun.

I think you'll be very impressed with some of the blah blah blahs that the bands will be putting out this year.Ryan H.
