As for me announcing for DCI--believe it or not, I have sent a letter to Dan Acheson about this very topic. It was a few years ago, after he and I actually met and he was able to see/hear me in action in southern California. No word back.

Their current announcer, Brandt Crocker, is a great guy and the official "Voice of DCI". I don't believe that I could necessarily do a BETTER job, but I could DO the job, if that makes sense. No offense to Dan Potter, the "other voice" of DCI (he does the Div II and III), but I think I AM better than he is, and his strength lies in being in front of the camera. Anyway...DCI is well known for NOT responding to people, so I'm not holding my breath. I have a feeling they know who I am, but they're probably quite frankly not interested.

Unless....unless....well....things COULD change.... ((cue evil laughter))...

Maybe we could make it a group effort? You know ... someone take the intro, someone get the reference letters to attach, someone do the closing, etc. It would be the most awesome letter of all time me thinks.

I seem to recall being very cold during awards. Fortunately the zoominess of the ceremony kept me from freezing solid and falling over.
