Everyone has their genius moments, Cole. I have so many of them I don't have time to list them all out. ;)

Trust me, we all have our genius moments. I have quite a few, but that is a part of being human. I think that we have a set number of genius moments that we have to accomplish before we die. If that is true, than I know I'll make it.

I've had a bunch of those. I can't think of one right now, but if I could there would be too many to list anyways.

Yeah, I have those all the time. Especially the ones where I'm talking one-on-one about someone else negatively, and that person is nearby and can hear the conversation going on.

One of the worst is being at Disneyland...and being kinda rowdy, you go off on wild tangents about nothing with plenty of language that would make some stand-up comedians blush...and there's kids nearby that can hear...talk about getting your foot caught in your mouth.

I can blow that one out of the water... top this:

(names omitted to protect the guilty)
Vintage Reserve Band Review, Napa. Would have been November of... 1992? I think. So I was only 16. I'll blame my youth. Anyways... at the changing room/staging area after the parade route we encountered another school who also happened to have a state-ranked basketball team (as did we, in fact we won the CIF Championship my senior year). This school, in fact, we had just beaten in basketball the day before. So, as my band was boarding the bus to go to the parade awards site, several members of their band had assembled near it and were gossiping harmlessly. Since the window right next to me was down, I (completely unprovoked) began a fusillade of rather ingenious (and somewhat profane) "smack-talking."

Of course, since I was looking out the window I didn't notice that my band director had come down the aisle and was standing right behind me.

Oh, there aren't the words to describe that feeling. One of the two most-regrettable things I ever did at a competition.

Top this:
My band was in the Hollywood X-Mas parade my freshmen year, so that was '99. We are there, and I am talking to a friend in my section.(Euphonium) My band director had walked up behind me, and I had not relized it. I turn around, and have my mouthpiece in my hand, and I accidently PUNCH, my director in the face. Not the stomach, not the arm, no, but the FACE. I felt about a half of an inch high. The look on his face... ...(shudder)...

Please, top that.

Well I don't think I can...I can remember a recent tour when on the day of our performance, me, the attractive young Genius I am, packed...not black dress pants...but my mother's own BLUE dress pants. I had no choice but to wear them the whole time...my band director sure loved me after that.

Actually when I remember it, I wanted to kill myself. But hey, things are all good now, I can look back and say "Hey, I was a bigger idiot than I am now."
