I am going to begin this thread in an attempt to keep the SW vs. LOTR thread more on-task...

As an overall series, which do you think is the best series of movies...

If I forget one, please post the name and I will update the poll. I just did the ones that I felt people would vote on...

Please note that Superman and Batman have been disqualified due to VERY BAD (TY Schumacher for Batman and Robin, NOT) latest movies in the series...

Friday the 13th (Jason) and Nightmare on Elm Street (Freddy) have been ommitted due to the fact that they just are. See next topic...

Also, please note that "The Matrix" does not yet qualify for this topic because there has only been ONE (1). I know that we can all count that high, even the drummers, because it comes before TWO (2). If there were 2 that would THEN make it a SERIES.

When Matrix Reloaded comes out, then we can have a new poll...

Evil Dead is a good idea, don't leave that out.

Also, Back To The Future. It was mentioned on the SW and LoTR post as well.

Star Wars, is definiely the best movie on the poll, but in close second is a tie between LOTR, and Bond. LOTR, because they are my favorite books, so in movie form they rock. Bond, because their are a lot, and almost every one of the Bond movies has rocked. But STAR WARS is definitely the best series up on the poll.

Sorry blokes...I like Indiana Jones a lot.

That's what made "The Last Crusade" so great...well, part of it at least!!

sw is the greatest even after all these years... sure lotr is good too but i guess im more of a sci fi person

All of these are great series, thats why they are all on the poll, and why people go around quoting these series, and sometimes do not even know what they are quoting. Oh yeah, by the way, "Snakes...Why did it have to be snakes..."

Star Wars is great too. Best ones IMO are Episode 2 and 4. Well, they're all good...except Episode 1...I think I'm gonna have to go back and watch that one over again...it didn't really captivate me the first time I saw it.

Empire is by far the BEST SW movie... so far.

Not only is it the best SW movie, it is also one of the best films ever.

It almost always turns up in those lists by fans and critics.

I have to vote For Indiana Jones. I love SW, but i think i like the more realistic approach by Indiana Jones. I think Empire definately is the best SW movie, but i think that Temple of Doom kills them all.

haha, my friend Nick did a monologue from that movie for our drama class. Never seen it...but it was the part about the "boomstick"
