My newest CD creation

Yeah, I listen to a lot of marches and drum corps, but I still have several hundred CDs of classical music, the majority of which is of late 19th or 20th century composers (I like my whirlwind string lines and very active brass sections). The other day I had two ideas for a CD: a CD of really varied music "from around the world", and a CD of really difficult, virtuoso music. I ended up combining the two concepts and made myself a Christmas present: a 15-track CD entitled...

MELODIC PRISMS
1. Saint Michael the Archangel from "Church Windows" (Ottorino Respighi)
2. Symphony #10, Mvt. II (Dmitri Shostakovich)
3. Concerto for Orchestra, Mvt. V (Bela Bartok)
4. Weapon Dance from "Ogelala" (Erwin Schulhoff)
5. Fugue and Hurricane from "Catfish Row" (George Gershwin)
6. Symphony #1, Mvt. III (Arnold Bax)
7. Mazurka from "Masquerade" (Aram Khachaturian)
8. Dance of the Evil Spirits from "Scythian Suite" (Sergei Prokofiev)
9. Can-Can from "The Golden Age" (Dmitri Shostakovich)
10. Dance of Bacchus and Ariane from "Bacchus et Ariane" (Albert Roussel)
11. Symphony #4, Mvt. II (Ture Rangstrom)
12. Entrance of the Emperor and His Court from "Hary Janos" (Bela Bartok)
13. Ray Harryhausen Fantasy Film Suite (Bernard Herrmann)
14. In taberna quando sumus from "Carmina Burana" (Carl Orff)
15. Dance of Daphnis and Chloe from "Daphnis et Chloe" (Maurice Ravel

Do you mind posting the songs on a website or something, so we can like make a CD out of them ourselves, instead of hassling you with sending um?

Cuz it sounds really cool

Yes I mind, mainly because I don't have a site, server, or space to put them on the web, and also because I have a crappy dial-up connection (Pac Bell sucks). It would take days to upload them all.

Ironically, sending out the CD isn't the hassle; it's the easiest of the available options. I can burn it in 15 minutes, toss it in the mail and be done with it. 8-)
