Let's see...
When I'm on AIM or any other means of text communication, I add in some WOP smilies based on their text translation, e.g., I've used :twisted: several times, even though I knew it wasn't actually going to show the face and I've definitely used :soap: :hijack: and :frustrated: several times.
Or how about when you borrow your band director's computer to check up on the recaps of the competition (instead of asking your band director himself) just so that you can check the forums?
