The Attack of The Freak Rain

Post by JohnnyffX » Thu Nov 13, 2003 10:37 pm

well it seems that most of california suffered a freak rain on Nov.12 that caused a lot of damage. I would like to know if anyone's rehearsal was interrupted by the weather, i know mine was interrupted and two days away from LAUSD too! Did anyone else suffer were there damages?

the guard was having sectionals outside when it started raining. plus there was some crazy lightening shows going on. :? hmm, standing outside in a lightening storm with a metal flag pole....sounds like a plan to me! lol. j/k, our instructors moved us inside, can't spin with soaked flags anyways. or when elecrical tape gets wet it gets slippery (rifles).

but the next day we couldn't practice for zero/first on the field cause the grass and the track were all muddy.

and that night we had a football game, the ground was sooooo muddy, and of course it was halftime, so the football team already had time mush it up. and there is this one part in my show where i travel real far in a short distance in the mud, i really thought i was going to fall, but luckly i didn't :) (i saved that for the mc tournament, i fell there).

yay, arcadia tomorrow!

our practice wasn't interrupted by the rain because WEIRDLY enough...it started raining/lightning right after practice was done! so we were so lucky. it was perfect timing.

yay, trabuco hills tomorrow!

Our practices weren't interrupted, it didn't really rain very hard here. I love the rain, so it made me happy but I hope no band had to miss too much rehersal, that would suck. I know some people are like yay no practice but so close to championships it could hurt :(

I left the Arcadia tournament after UCLA performed so I wasn't stuck in the rain.

*evil rain*

Yeah, we got some rain during our show too, not to bad, but my rifle was still wet. :(

Awards were a lot worse (rain, rain, and more rain), but thanks Arcadia for speeding them up so we could head on home. :)
