But Smith did not take into consideration that by assimilating Neo, the two halves of the equation meet and both of them are destroyed as a a result. Smith was erased, but so was Neo. Neo *did* die, afterall.

My main point is, that he went down fighting. Yes, I understand that he lost, but is was an awsome fight, because he went down fighting, and even when you thought it was over, even when we thought that Neo could not go on, he still got up, and hammered Smith into the side of the hole that he was in.Of course, Smith got back up, but hey, you can't win 'em all right?
