fighting off the sleep!

Post by IsnipeWithAknife » Tue Oct 21, 2003 2:52 am

here's a thread where you can all post your ways off fighting off the sleep!! i'm up doing my hw and it's almost 3am. my average sleeping time lately. sometimes i drink coffee and WOP keeps me up too (where i spend 40 minutes in 2 hour intervals). once i got a total of 6 hours of sleep one week and that wasnt too fun during school. being sick and taking nyquil kinda sicks too.
oh well at least it's good practice for my next lan party!!! (halloween lan party 36+ hours of pure gaming and a band comp the next day...)

Bleh...3:30am with an 8am class and midterm.

Hey, I managed. Who needs sleep? Sleep is overrated, anyway.

I need lots of sleep, so I go to bed at like 10 and wake up at 5:30. I have a hard time waking up, I usually drink green tea cause it has lots of caffeine.

ahh... sleep. Something of which I should be doing right now because of school tomorrow. But I can't due to my rehearsal tonight was fun and I can't sleep. surprise surprise. I usually say that I'm going to bed at around 9 or so but don't actually go to bed til about 11 or 12. Then I get up at 3 because I can't sleep and then go back to bed at 4 just to be woken up again at 5. And it really does not help when starting tomorrow my bus will be coming MUCHOS earlier. Stupid bus route. But the thing that keeps me up is one word. C-O-F-F-E-E! It does the body good  , not really though. But like I said before, coffee can only do so much. After that wears me down, it's online I go and go to every site ever developed (not really). Sleep is good though. The only time I actually get to sleep is on Sundays, so I tend to miss my football games form sleeping in (if you know me you know how bad I get) and catch up on atleast a few hours of missed sleep. But it's all good. I'm alive and not sleepy, so yeah.

In all seriousness, you won't accomplish much if you're falling asleep studying, so my advice is to go to sleep and wake up early. Your retention rate increases ten-fold. Of course...this is not to say I actually DO this... :P

Sleep? what is this sleep? I have now taught myself to just stay awake. However, I am slower than usual, and the second I hit the bed, I am gone. But...well...nothing keeps me awake like the headphones with music blaring as loud as I can stand it...

Funny how that works, but it always seems to happen to me too. When I'm trying to stay awake I have to struggle and when I wanna go to sleep I sit there all awake.
