I've only read it once. Not nearly enough to digest it all, but how will I feel about buying or endorsing Bach now? I had no idea this had been going on at all, let alone for so long.

What an article, it was indeed painful. What bothers me is that this all just getting started. In case people out there have not noticed, The USA is now 1.5 trillion dollars in debt; this is more than the debt of all presidential administrations up to this point combined. China owns most of this debt. Congress is planning to add another trillion for a health care plan.

As much as all of this bothers me, nothing is more painful than knowing that Americans will have done this to themselves, with their own votes.

Thanks for posting. I am always looking at the news and I would have missed this one were it not posted here.

Capitalism at its finest. Capitalism is all about sacrificing people for the sake of dollars.

Story after story after story just like this pours in from across America, and yet people still blanch at the merest mention of socialist concepts.

I believe that it is much closer to 11.5 trillion dollars than 1.5 trillion dollars...

I think he meant the annual debt, not the total.

It's always particularly frustrating for me to see good music companies/retailers go down the tubes because they are taken over by people who have no appreciation for the industry. They just want to make a profit. Whittaker Music for example.

I hate companies that are supposed to make "craft goods" and the crappy leadership cares about shareholders rather than maintaining a connection with the consumer and their product. if it was a massed produced good, I'd say yes it would make sense.

This is why I love game publisher/developer Valve. EA and Activision are ruining all the titles they own

Never mind that this deficit is being caused by a President that is attempting to get the government invested into most aspects of the economy. The exact opposite of the free market system.

But, it is all ok because it is W's fault. Just keep drinking the blue kool-aid.

What exactly was the deficit when Obama assumed office?

I thought so.

Kool-Aid, down the hatch!

Evidently you're not familiar with the friendly Chapter 13 bankruptcy laws in this country.

Of more concern to me is the fact that the people putting together Bach products are no longer the people who put together Bach products. No offense to Blessing, but if I wanted a horn built by Blessing, I would buy one.

It just means that the high level products will decline, and I will be forced to tell my students to buy from Yamaha, or a smaller high quality supplier like Kanstul or Monette.

What's sad is that the corporate structure will always manufacture to the lowest common denominator standard, unless otherwise obliged.

I won't be buying any new Bach products...
