You know, I agree.
I don't know about the offenses...the teams you mentioned have all had blowouts, but thats not what its about.

If it were me, I'd put the Redskins on that offense list. I mean, Ramsey...look at him. The team (offense) is just playing good. The whole thing is good. And if you want to talk stats, the Skins are top offense after 3 weeks.

But as for worst teams, I totally agree.

My top teams would have to be the exact same as yours...I just tried to make a listof my own and I had the exact same teams you did, but in a different order.

You're completely crazy, you know that? :P

The Redskins only managed 16 point against the Jets, and 21 against the Giants. True, they lead the league in YARDS, but it's POINTS that win games.

Washing Redskins offense, NFL Ranking after Week 3:
Total Yards per game: 1st
Passing Yards per game: 3rd
Rushing Yards per game: 7th
Points per game: 11th
Penalties: 31st (35 penalties, only the Raiders have more)
Turnover ratio: 25th (-3)

Sure, they're a GOOD offense. I'm not trying to say they suck. But one of the best in the league? Eh, not quite. They're still too undisciplined: too many turnovers, too many penalties.

And I'll take Trent Green over Patrick Ramsey any day.

(Oh, and if you're wondering where I'm finding all these crazy stats)

Well although I am happy that someone as esteemed as Phantom has put my Cowboys on his better list, I will point out to him that thier schedule is no longer easy.

I can't agree with you more in every aspect of your statement.
Take me for instance, a HUGE Cowboys fan.
I grew up watching them win, but when they did really bad, I wasn't such a forthcoming fan. Now they are playing better than they have been and I'm out on the lines again!

But for when they do bad, thats why ya have a back-up favorite team (for me, its the skins...not a good choice but I grew up watching them win too).

Well, I base my rankings on what's happened so far, no what's going to happen in the future.

To be honest, both of the Cowboys next two games (home vs. Philadelphia and at Detroit) are very winnable. Dallas could be 5-1 before the schedule gets really ugly. The absolute BEST I think they can do in their last 10 games is 4-6. But hey, 5-1 + 4-6 = 9-7, which would put them in decent shape for a playoff bearth.

Did you know that a few years back the Cowboys started 3-0 and actually finished 8-8? They still made the playoffs that year...because the entire NFC was screwed up...but thats besides the point.

Point is, the Cowboys have a tendency of losing what they should win. Sure they have thier moments, and I'll admit I am impressed (and happy) with their performance.

I honestly do not think they will beat Philly. However, this is a home game for Dallas, and with the way the Cowboys have been playing, they might actually have fan support.

There are things I can say that are not stat-related, like the last time the Cowboys were atop the NFC East (they had beaten the Cardinals as well), and I believe the finished 5-11.
History would indicate the Cowboys will blow this excellent start, and I quite believe they will.

But thats just me, and I don't know all that much about football compared to some other people.

I honestly think they might. It's a tough call and should be a close game. Dallas' defense has been aces so far this season, but they should get a good test from McNabb and the Eagles. On the other side of the ball, the Eagles' defense remains devastated by injuries, so Dallas has a chance to capitalize there. I predict a high scoring game, with the final score something like 31-28 or 35-31, but either team could win.

This is what I see with McNabb and when Vick plays, Vick:

McNabb can run, and run well. If the Cowboy's defense drops back to zone, McNabb can run for 10 yards before meeting a defender. If the Cowboys play man-on-man, McNabb can easily pass, because one on one match-ups are not a strong point.

The thing is, McNabb can run, and run well... and he can pass, and pass well... but he can't run and pass well at the same time. Very few quarterbacks can. Get the quarterback scrambling and his completion percentage will drop like a stone.

Dallas needs to play a lot of 4-3 and Nickel package, a lot of Cover 2s, Under 2s, and Under 4s. They also need to keep blitzing. Philadelphia's receivers are not that spectacular. Get McNabb on the run and force the Eagles' wideouts to make the plays.
