I made one for my band director, but we just brought it when rehearsal ended so there was no fuss... leave it in one of your classrooms before lunch or something and then go and get it...

Thats what we did too...
In fact, we had his wife bring it while some other people decorated the band room with baloons and stuff. We did that early in the morning before school, and then cake afterwords. I remember taping him shut inside his office...

Well I would say give it to someone who can drive and lives close early on, and then they can go get it at lunch or something. Or just put it in your locker and don't worry too much about it gettig squished, cause if your band is anything like mine it will end up mostly in people's faces/hair anyway.

This totally reminds me of my freshman year, when one of the seniors made a cake for my bday. It was the day before Christmas Break began--also happened to be my birthday--he stayed home all day just baking that cake.. he brought it after school when we had a clarinet party.. whee, those were the days..
