Here it is! The return of the NFL Football Pool Game we had so much fun playing last year!

I"m getting a bit of a late start this year, but since the Pre-Season is just for practice, ironing out the kinks, getting our chops back in shape, and recruiting players, I think we'll be ok. We'll be in full swing once the Regular Season starts!

Here's hoping everyone who played last year returns to play again this year. And of course new players are always welcome!

A a brief overview of the game for anyone contemplating playing.....

The game is fashioned after the basic Office Pool you see at work, where you pick the winning team of each game played that week. You get a certain amount of points based on how many games you guessed correctly, as well as two Bonus Questions.

Each week, I post a "Game Open" announcement in this thread. You make your picks by posting said picks in the thread for that week. Scoring is based on the percentage of points you earned, in comparison to the amount of points available to be earned that week (this is based on the number of games played in a given week).

Your score for the week is then averaged to scores from other weeks to get your Season Average ranking.

Deadline 1 covers Games played before Saturday (Games 1-8). Due by kickoff of Game 1 ( Thursday, August 13 ). Approximately 7:30 PM Eastern.


Deadline 2 covers Games starting Saturday (Games 9-16), plus the Bonus Questions. Due by kickoff of the first Sunday game ( Saturday, August 15 ). Approximately 4:00 PM Eastern.


If you miss Deadline 1, you can still submit picks for games covered under Deadline 2, and take "no picks" for the games under Deadline 1.
You may submit all your picks by Deadline 1 if you wish, with the option to change picks covered by Deadline 2 up until that deadline.

Jacjar1, it appears you originally just copy/pasted FSQ's picks and adjusted them to your picks. But you failed to delete FSQ's picks in your post.

This time only (and because its the Pre-Season), I'm going with your first set of picks, and the last set of BQ's, cause those are what don't match FSQ's picks. If this were the Regular Season where everything counts, I'd probably have to not count your picks, just cause I wouldn't be sure what to go by. Hope that's ok with everyone. I like to be a little more lenient in the pre-season since its for practice and ironing out the kinks.
