Or you could always just use your head like I do. It really isn't hard to figure. Move the decimal over one place. Then add half to that. Yay.

Why would you do that when you have technology at you fingertips?
Persoally, the last thing I want to do after I've eaten is start thinking (even remotley) about decimal points and adding halves.
Just whip out the calculator for the tip, and not only do you get it, there is no mistake. And what if you want to give them a 12%? 16%?

I do it in my head too, but since formermarcher said his cell phone could, I was just saying that my palm pilot can also. I never use it for that, and even though it can do it, I don't even know how since I've never used that function.

Same here. Just saying it was there.
I'd look kinda funny sitting there with my cell phone out, peering at the bill.
