Despite the fact that the Sarks were cheating to no end the ducks win!! Especially Cheechoo! With him slashing every player in the start and so many interference penalities going uncalled....

Just shows you that the Ducks have this in the bag! I get to go see them play on Tuesday now, so I'm excited about that!

i swear i'm gonna loose my voice from yelling at the tv, lol The sharks power play is an epic fail so far. Unless they start getting traffic in front of the net Hiller is going to keep looking like Brodeur....

cheating? really?

I would agree that there are many penalties going uncalled, but on both sides. Pronger gets away with so many cross-checking penalties in front of the ducks net....

Should be a good game Tuesday, maybe the sharks will pull there head out of there butt and try and make this a series..... but im not counting on it lol

Finally, the ref's called a game fairly straight. For once, both teams were getting called for stuff, not just the Ducks. And the ducks were getting called for much less.

The result? The shark's didn't have a PRAYER. They needed 6 penalty plays each game to even have a shot at winning, and of that they still lost 2 games out of 3 (and shutout in them). So in a game where the reffing was finally fair to both sides, they fall 4-0 and were totally dominated in every way a team can be dominated.

The Sharks are done tonight. GO DUCKS!

O< O< O<

Got awfully quiet in this thread all of a sudden. 8-)

Yahoo Sports
Ross McKeon wrote:There’s going to be a new rule in San Jose starting immediately. The words “Stanley Cup” are hereby banned from being uttered by anyone connected to the Sharks’ organization until the team wins a Western Conference title.

That’s it. No more. The franchise is not worthy to talk about something that appears so elusive. The Sharks should feel too embarrassed over what happened the last 10 days to ever fall into the trap of talking about winning a championship again.

And don’t hold your breath for the “Stanley Cup” ban to end. That Western Conference title is not right around the corner like fans have been led to believe time and time again.

The Sharks were playing pretty average teams as they closed out the season.

The ducks on the other hand, had been playing playoff caliber teams for over a month before the playoffs began. So when they did qualify, they were already a battle-tested team. They weren't even close to being an 8th seeded team...clearly they were and are so much better.

Sadly, it doesn't get any easier with Detroit. But I don't think we'll be seeing 7 penalities in the space of 2 mins like last game. The two teams havent played each other since January.
