windows 7

So I downloaded windows 7 beta build 7000 this week. So far its pretty cool and some improvements over vista. First off, after a fresh install on a Dell machine I didn't have to install any additional drivers; which is usually a pain when you format a Dell.

Loading times are better and that's taking into consideration it being a fresh install.

But, more importantly, Paint got a reworking! In addition to the new layout there are some new features. You can also save files at a .png now.

Here's a screenshot:

Looks appealing. Personally, I think I'll be shelling out my cash for Ubuntu. Oh wait!
The o_O emoticon gives me the heebee jeebees.

i like the way it looks.... it looks so friendly.

the windows look has been one of dull tones and really boxy layouts for years. im glad to see that since XP it has become more visually appealing.

I only have a X800 graphics card on that system and it ran pretty smoothly with all that "fluff" turned on.

Need to load some movies and mp3s on there and see if WMP improved any.
