21-6 Arizona, and they're driving for the knockout blow and it's not even half-time yet. Larry Fitzgerald has 3 TDs already and the Eagles still haven't double-covered them, and Will Demps just committed the stupidest penalty in the history of football (leveling Kurt Warner directly in front of the ref, long after he threw the ball).

I'm not sure I've seen a team all year that has played as dumb as Philly is playing in the NFC Championship.

I would've waited until the game was pretty much over (like now) to make comments on either team. But hey, at least Eagles came back and Defense all of a sudden was putting major pressure on the QB. I'm pretty sure Cardinals have this wrapped up (haven't seen the last 2 min. of the game).EDIT: Hearing my mom screaming we got the ball....and her going for Cardinals, i'm pretty positive it's OVER for Eagles. Now to watch Ravens and Steelers =].

Good to see a team like the Cardinals do this well at this point in the season. But as I keep watching them I always wonder, "how come this NEVER happens to the Chargers?"

Amen.

Saxplyr, I made the comments because I didn't care who won (plus, however good they played in the 2nd half will never erase the fact that they looked like they didn't even belong in the game the first half).

Haha yea I didn't either, just wanted a close game, which they did do in the 3rd quarter whcih, imo, made that game better than the Steeler-Raven game haha. But I get ya Hostrauser. =]

Wishing the best to Willis McGahee. That was the gnarliest hit I've seen all season.

No kidding! I think that may be one of the first times I've seen a hit like that. Usually when its that bad, I see it after the fact in relays. I think the breath literally went out of the whole stadium.

I do vaguely remember when Theismann broke his leg. But more than the hit itself, I remember the reaction after the fact of the guy that hit him.

I remember that, even though I was young. I believe the guy that hit him was legendary Giant Lawrence Taylor, was it not? I just remember the defender springing to his feet in a heartbeat and gesturing frantically towards the sidelines for help. I also remember how torn up about it (crying) he was on the sidelines after the play. I also remember how ABC kept showing the ghoulish replay several times (since it was a prime-time game on Monday Night Football, a good portion of the country saw it). If I recall correctly, it was this injury that led the TV networks to be much more cautious about replaying injuries, especially severe ones.

It was indeed Lawrence Taylor. I got curious about the accuracy of my own memory, and Googled the incident to see what was said about it in the history books. Apparantly the Washington sideline got a little PO'd at first cause they thought LT's gesturing was a taunt that they had stopped the play. The announcers though had it right (as to what LT was doing). And of course there are a ton of YouTube vids on the hit as well  . Interestingly enough, my memory of LT's reaction was spot on. It was identical to the "video" in my head, the gesturing to the sidelines, and the "OMG" clasping his hands to his helmet as he looked at the grisley scene.

As to last night's injury. As I stated previously, even through the TV screen you could "feel" the breath just whoosh out of the whole stadium. I can't imagine how difficult it would be to continue to play the game with much gusto after that. But, I guess the show must go on. Thankfully it looks like he's going to be ok.

Like this nascar replay that was later banned from TV, luckily we still have youtube.

*WARNING* Before clicking on the link, this was banned from TV because it shows a fatal accident.

And here's the video of the Theismann injury...it's pretty brutal to watch as well.
