I usually post the newest Game Open announcement as soon as the Monday Night game is over, and I've posted the results. I like to do it that way so it doesn't get confused with the previous week's games. FYI, the pre-season all have Thursday games, so the deadline will be Thursday for all the Pre-Season. When there are early games for the Regular Season, I'll be experimenting with split-deadlines when the time comes.

I also offer a service to all players by e-mailing a reminder of the Game Open notice after I've posted it. In that e-mail, you'll be informed that the current week's game is open to play, when the deadline is, and a link to the Game Open post. If you'd like to be on the e-mail list, please e-mail me at fbpoolgame@comcast.net and request being on the distribution list. Please remember to tell me who you are (username) and which board you're playing on, as I use this e-mail for all three boards I run the game on.

Wind-Drummer, you actually submitted your picks after the deadline. However, since I haven't really discussed rules and such, and this is just the pre-season, I'll accept them. However, I won't be able to include the first two games (that were played on Thursday), as they were already in progress when you submitted your picks. Those will just show up as not having made picks. Sorry for the confusion.

GAME RULES

OK, I thought I'd post about rules in a separate post, since many people don't like to read super-long posts.

This is the fifth year I've been running the game (on other boards), and over the years a few issues have come up (mostly regarding deadlines) that made me realize I had to make some rules and stick by them in order to be fair to all players.

So, I've come up with a list of "Rules And Q&A." I've posted them on another board where I'm more able to sort things into different folders and threads. Since its a bit lengthy, I'd rather not re-post it here. Instead, you can read it there if you don't mind following the link.

The place is called TVCH, and there are some features (like playing on a team) that only apply to TVCH (there's more players there, so more opportunity to form teams and such). There's also talk of posting in the General Discussions thread, since that site is organized into various threads. Since we just run the game in the same thread here, we just post everything in this thread. Other than that, the rest of the stuff applies to all three boards. Eventually, when I get my personal webspace back up and running for the game, I'll post the rules there too.
