Why does it seem like everyone and their mom are going/have gone to Hawaii but ME?! All of my friends have gone off somewhere on some kind of trip/vacation ... and the parentals are taking the kiddies up to Tahoe for three days right when I start school so I can't go. At least I'll get to go to Santa Cruz this fall season.

Well, certain kinds can be fun during them, but not fun after they're over

Just remember to drink plenty of water afterwards.

I'm leaving in 8 days for Europe. First it's 2 days in London followed by a 12 day cruise around Scandinavia.

Just take it easy. Don't fry yourself to death. Han, your probably used to it. I've been to London before. Fun place to be, especially if you can understand thier accents. Where you really need to go is to Crianlarch, up in Northern Scotland.
When I went there (cause I was born there...not there but in Scotland), it leads into the Highlands. Everyone needs to see the Highlands before they die. I am serious. Thats the one thing I wanted to go back and see this summer, but I saw it last summer and me parents wouldn't have it.

You're Scottish? Do you have an accent?

Nah. No accent for me.
I've lived here too long from an early age to ever retain it. Me parents do, and people say when I get really angry, they can hear an accent...oh well.
I wouldn't want one anyway...people never understand me mum or dad.

Yeah, you wouldn't want to be compared to Pip on South Park or something...

Anyway, I took my first driver's training course tonight. What an interesting experience...I didn't do too bad, although I think I need to work more on parking, turning, and definitely looking over my shoulder for turns and lane changes. I did alright for the most part, but other than that I got very lucky tonight. :)

Most of driving is practice. For instance, parking.
I was a horrible parker until the school year began. I tell ya, a year of parking at a student parking lot will get you into shape, parking wise.
As for looking over your shoulder, its just repitition. Thats all it is. Just keep doing it.

Yeah, those are the two biggest things I need to work on. Turning itself isn't too bad, but I need to make sure that I don't suddenly brake while I'm turning, thus slowing down a lot.

My first lesson I was bad a turning too, but I got better after practice. Parking I was bad at, so one day I just went to a parking lot and practiced parking a bunch.
