Balboa is the guy in the statue.
Q#18 coming up.
Not a lot of responses recently. Guess I'll have to make the hints more obvious...
Well it was just hard seeing what he was holding or his face or something a little better. It was pretty obvious though that it was modern because of the car that was there (Chevy...?). Also the buildings were pretty modern. Knew it was a coastal capital (cuts it down a little), and...I think that's about all you can really pull out.
^_^ I dunno how much more obvious it could be. It is spring break too (well for us at least, and other cities) so some people are out of state, or just out and about on a daily basis hehe. Beach?

Oh yeah, I forgot about Spring Break, probably because
I don't get one.
Anyway...

Some of the pics have been very hard. That might be scaring people away. Spring Break too, yes, I agree. The clue for 17 was no help, unless you had first-hand knowledge of Panama City. I recognized the explorer was wearing Spanish garb, so after exhausting every Google search I could think of, I eventually broke down and started searching city by city in South and Central America. It wasn't the most entertaining way to find the answer.

Okay, I'll try to make the hints a bit easier.
Double-value questions coming up soon.

Or the pictures a bit more recognizable....That statue really hurt it. Maybe a face would've been nicer or something but hints work too either way
Can't wait for the double-value ones!

For round #3 (April) I am thinking about doing away with the hints and simply making every question multiple choice with five possible answers.
Sound good/bad?

That would certainly attract more people and obviously limit down which it could be. Making it an easier guess to which it could be.
I like the hints better only because it actually makes you look for it instead of guess and check w/ google.

It seems like most do not like that aspect, however, as 11 out of 19 questions have received four answers or fewer...

Haha probably because it's easier. But I'm fine either way.
I'll probably be most busy in April anyway with SAT's coming up more tests, and probably more Chamber related stuff. So actually looking at it, it would save me some time ^_^.
