No correct answers so far.

Here's a list of the former Soviet republics and their current, independent names:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republics_ ... viet_Union

Hint #1.1: Yes, it's one of those fifteen cities listed as capitals of the republics

Hint #1.5: I said it was in Europe, not Asia

Correct Answer for Question #11: Chisinau, Moldova

Hopefully people aren't responding simply because that one was difficult, and not because interest in the game has been lost. Rejoice, the next three questions should be pretty easy (two because they're very distinctive.

Q#12 to be posted in a bit.

Name this American University:

Hint: Once I had a girl on Rocky Top, half bear the other half cat; wild as a mink but sweet as soda pop, I still dream about that.

(Really, if you miss this one there's no hope for you.)

I love this trivia contest, and I have recognized a few of these locations, while being stumped by others. With regards to the lastest photo, and if I could venture an additional clue without committing a faux pas, there is an incredibly scenic ghost town nearby. Also, the tufa formations in the picture remind me of Gaudi's "La Sagrada Familia" in Barcelona!

S, M, R, T...I mean...S, M, A, R, T.

By the way, people using a video camera to record their TV screen should be banned from Youtube. If an out-of-date chap like me (when I bought my 386DX, it was the last time I was cutting edge) can figure out how to connect my VCR and DVR to my computer, anyone can.
