I am off for the Lunar New Year for the week and NO ONE TELL ME THE SCORE...
The only way to watch the Super Bowl here is to know someone with connections with the U.S. military or hook in on a satellite transmission of AFN channel 69. Someone is sending me a recording (in bits and pieces), so I will get to watch it...
In the meantime, I am ignoring anything with references to the score...
STAR SPORTS ASIA (owned by the same company that owns Fox) is showing their version of football at the time of the Super Bowl--soccer!

Nope ... not even those. We have always avoided the larger amusement parks too, Fluba, thus going to San Diego WAP (the zoo is a zoo like DismalLand that day). Looks like those plans might get wiped out however ... high here is supposed to be 45 and snowy this evening (our house is at 1980 ft.). Plan C? Paint the kitchen.horns2thebachs wrote:Just in it for the commercials and halftime show eh?fieldshowqueen wrote:Patriots 35-24
(and ... just for the record ... I will probably be at the Wild Animal Park as I have for the last 15 years because I HATE FOOTBALL!!!!)
While I may agree with you in some sense I know that this is why the playoff system is in place and runs the way it does. It is designed to give every team a chance to make it to the show. It favors the top teams with first round bye weeks, and then it challenges the teams on the bubble with the whole wild card game, forcing them to play a team much better than them. If they are able to jump through the hoops and earn their way into the big game then more power to them.
You just can't encourage stupidity

I want the Giants to win to, but I'm predicting the Patriots to win.Jsaxm wrote:As much as I would really like the Giants to win because of my strong dislike of the Patriots, I don't think they have what it will take to win, sadly.
Go read "Ishmael" a novel by Daniel Quinn. It will literally change your life.
