The answer for the first one could have been found using google.
Search: buildings that look like the Space Needle
Result One includes a list of buildings with an observation deck.
Harbor Centre is there and is a clear answer.

Correct Answer for #2: Yukon Territory, Canada

Hence the "Yukon Gold" potatoes reference.

TRIVIA QUESTION #3
Name this European country (hint: in the 1980s it was part of a different country):

I should probably apologize for having all these difficult ones up front. I used a random number generator to select the order of the questions, and it just so happened to lump some tough ones at the beginning.

Gotta admit use of the word "state" threw me, of course I wouldn't have thought the Yukon could be that green, either...

Well, as I said in the first post...
Hostrauser wrote:NAME THAT STATE; for the sake of brevity, "state" in this instance means a U.S. state or a Canadian province or territory.
And do you mean "that gold"? ;) I thought the fact that there were no trees or bushes anywhere in sight (tundra) might have been a clue.

Well I think considering that was a pic of a wheat field and you made a reference to potatoes, that threw me off.

Not wheat, just arctic grasses and mosses. Wheat is much taller.

Like I said, a lot of the tricky ones showed up early. I'll post number four later; it should be a bit easier.

That's why one should always read cdirections carefully. My bad.

Looked greenish to me, but I've been accused of being colorblind...

So, how are we supposed to know if we got it right or not? You said you are going to post number 4 soon, but I don't even know when number 3 is over. If we PM you the right answer will you let us know we got it right or do we just wait and see? I don't want to move on to four if I don't know the results of 3....

How many points does everyone else have....I am so confused.

Hostrauser wrote:I've decided upon a little twist. I'm not going to post the scores after every question. Instead, I will post them after questions #6, #12, #18 and #24. I will be keeping a spreadsheet that I will upload at the end of the game which will show a question by question scoring breakdown.
As for letting us know if we answered correctly or not, I dunno.

Number 3 is over when he posts the correct answer to #3 (as has always been the case). He will then usually at the same time post #4. Typically the time period between the questions is 24 hours but as he said in the Rules, this could be as short as 12 hours.
I guess I look at it this way ... why do you need to know someone else's scores? You know how you answered and whether that answer is right or wrong. The only thing you won't know is the bonus points.

Yeah, I realize this, it just seemed like it was going really, really fast there at first, haha. My head was spinning because I was putting in answers, all were wrong, but I wouldn't know when the previous one ended, etc. Yikes!!

Anyway, I think I got it now, haha!!
