Way to go Chargers. That last drive in the fourth quarter was AMAZING.
It's 5:00... do you know where your ancestors came from?

I agree. To see them come back again. Sheesh. Great game played by both. Wasn't a complete blowout like I thought it would be. Really close game and they both played well.

Next: Chargers vs. Pats if I'm correct. ....?

regardless of classes starting tomorrow, this is the happiest day of my life. no more calls against san diego for the sake of good tv ratings next week!

best part about this all is that im surrounded by cowboys fans here in texas and they just lost to the giants! and im probably the only one here with a team to root on!

Of course, now I see why Bob Sanders was the defensive player of the year: the rest of the Colts secondary was atrocious. They simply could not handle the bigger, physical receivers of the Chargers. Vincent Jackson turned Tim Jennings into a piece of toast he burned him so much. And Antoine Bethea (the other Colts safety) was late on almost EVERY PLAY when he had to come over the top to the sideline to double cover (see also: Jackson's TD catch in the first half).

But the two plays of the game, in my opinion, came from the Chargers defense in the 4th quarter:
1) 4th and goal from the Chargers' 5, and Shawne Merriman turned Colts LT Tony Ugoh into a human turnstile: Merriman just blew him up with a speed rush and forced Manning to get rid of the ball way too early.
2) 3rd and long from inside Colts territory, the last time they had the ball. Reggie Wayne runs a 15-yard slant and Manning's pass is perfect. It's a sure first down... until Marlon McCree comes up and removes Wayne out of his cleats. Not only does Wayne drop the ball (making it 4th and long), but he's shaken up on the play AND HAS TO SIT OUT ON 4th DOWN. Marvin Harrison was already out, and now, with their entire season on the line, the Colts' top two receivers were on the sideline. That was big.

The first one was just before the two-minute warning in the fourth quarter. The second one was a minute and a half later.
