Well, here in O-town we have a McDonalds, a Burger King, KFC, Jack in le Box, 2 Taco Bells, Foster Freeze. We don't have Del Taco, Carl's Jr, any of the walk in Mexican places like Baja Fresh, CHipotle Grill, El Pollo Loco, etc, we also have a Shakeys (not many of those around), a Pizza Hut, Little Caesars (cardboard w/ cheese), Round Table, Mt. Mike's and a couple take N bake place.
Oddly enough, back in the early 80's Oroville had a Baskin Robbins, a Sizzler, a Dennys, a Straw Hat, Long John Silvers and a Golden Corral (Nor Cal chain)...
they all went out of business...
However, for the first time in like 20 years a new chain restaurant just opened...we got an Applebees. Right now the line to get in is like an hour long...and thats on a Wednesday. Unbelievable. I'm not a big fan of Applebees, but I'm hoping it opens the fllodgates for other chain places...we don't have really a single good place to sit down and eat in town (except a Chinese place that is excellent.) Still, I would die not to have to drive 30 minutes for a Red Lobster or Olive Garden or Outback Steakhouse.
I know I'm complaining...sorry...
