From 1983's "Risky Business"
Miles: "Great idea. Where else could we get a hot chocolate for four dollars?"
Then: funny because that was ludicrously expensive for something as simple as hot chocolate.
Now: Starbucks, 'nuff said.

From 1980's "Airplane!"
(Ted Striker is purchasing airline tickets)
Ticket Agent: "Smoking or Non-smoking?"
Then: funny because a standard question is turned on its head when the agent hand him a plane ticket that is literally billowing smoke everywhere.
Now: a complete smoking ban on US flights has been in effect since 1988.
(Dr. Rumack is examing sick patients)
Dr. Rumack: "Strange. I haven't seen anything like this since the Anita Bryant concert."
Then: funny, because it suggests the uncontrollable vomiting of food poisoning is similar to the response a person would have listening to Anita Bryant (an extremely conservative pop-singer who frequently, harshly spoke out against homosexuality).
Now: Homosexuality has become slightly more socially acceptable; the last flickers of Anita Bryant's career flickered out 25 years ago.
