WoP censorship
I typed "oh $h1T" in a private message (but I used the actual word), and it changed it to "oh crap". It totally ruined the spirit of the message! I understand not allowing profanity on the boards, but I think it should all be game in PMs.

Unfortunately, I think it's "all or nothing" with phpBB software. And having the automatic filter on in the general forums is far more important than having it off in PMs.
Also, you should remember, that people get *awfully* excited over little things in the band world, and the filter helps remove some of the sting from angry, hate-filled PMs.

I prefer that it censor everything, even in PM's. Its either that, or run the risk of having some really profane words that I have to go in and censor myself.

I'll announce my intentions now...Ryan H. Turner wrote:Crap crap crap crap crap.
I just thought of that Simpsons episode where Bart gets a party because he got an "A" on a test. During the party they play "Duck Duck Goose" and Ralph Wiggum just runs around the outside endlessly saying "Duck duck duck duck duck duck duck duck duck duck duck duck duck duck duck duck duck duck duck duck duck duck duck duck duck..."
I bring this up because, after reading the above post, I superimposed The Voice's face into that scene and pictured him running around the circle and (in a Ralph Wiggum voice) going "Crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap..."
This is what I do to amuse myself.
Imagine if this were to happen while he was... say... announcing awards. I'd want to be at that ceremony.Hostrauser wrote:I bring this up because, after reading the above post, I superimposed The Voice's face into that scene and pictured him running around the circle and (in a Ralph Wiggum voice) going "Crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap..."
