If George Hopkins should happen across your idea and propose a rule to the DCI Congress to allow monster trucks in drum corps shows, I am going to kill you. :frustrated:

Heh, check out the little video clip from Cavies Feb. 1 camp. You won't hear any of their music, but talk about a promotional.

It's stuff like that that is needed in the DCI market.
If that was put on National TV, you would have a lot of non-drum corps people wondering "who are the Cavaliers."

Would it then build up enough anxiety to accually go out and find out exactly who they are?

I wonder....

The only probkem with the whole televising deal is that you would get great ratings once. I think this is so because the audience would want the most Visually pleasing Corps to win. However we all know that the most Visual is not always the best technicaly. I would love to see drum corps on a major T.V. station, but i think DCI would get kicked off the air once the crowd favorite didnt win. I think that DCi would turn into one of those new reality series. The worst Corps would be voted off at the end of every show. I dont think we wan thtat to happen.

I'm assuming it's at Qualcomm... Do you have to buy tickets pre-sale or at the door? (Never been to a DCI show)
