Mandarins to Get New Set of Brass Instruments

Post by mandarins1 » Fri Jan 28, 2005 10:18 am

The Sacramento Mandarins are pleased to announce an agreement with Dynasty USA to provide the Mandarins with a complete set of brass instruments. This agreement will allow the Mandarins to transition their hornline into a B flat configuration for the 2005 season. Dan Fong, Mandarins brass caption head, stated that “The brass staff field tested several makes and models of B flat instruments last summer. We were impressed by the quality and sound of the Dynasty USA instruments, and were excited to find out that Dynasty USA would soon be producing larger bore trumpets. In 2005 we will be significantly increasing the size of the brass line, so it is an opportune time to make this investment. Allan Murray and the rest of the Dynasty USA staff were very supportive and instrumental in making this agreement possible.”

Brass auditions for the Mandarins will continue through their February camp. For additional information, go here: http://www.mandarins.org/dci/auditions.html
