Key Poulan

Post by Wildabeast » Tue Oct 19, 2004 1:09 pm

After a successful season that saw the Spartans win D2 with "Medusa" and SCV placing 3rd with "Scheherazade," Key Poulan is once again in demand for next season signing on recently as brass arranger for Allegiance Elite (using "Pandora's Box"), and now much more recently with Magic of Orlando. He remains with SCV as program coordinator and brass arranger, but I don't know if the Spartans are pursuing him again (remains to be seen). I think he will also continue as brass arranger for the Hawthorne Caballeros (senior corps).

Hey Wil...I think if I heard from a contact in Missouri that Key is taking a year off from any band stuff...and concentrating on corps and his business...

Emerald Brigade
2004: Circutry
2005: Locomotion
2006: Queen: We Will Rock You

I believe that is one of his works.

Look for Allegiance Elite to perform "Pandora's Box" at a drum corps show near you this next season.

I like Key, and I like most of his music, but "Pandora's Box" is dangerously close to earning the "kitten-killer" label for being so overplayed. The show's only a couple of years old and I've seen it at least 15-20 times.
