Star Alumni Corps

Post by Trumpet Man 05 » Sat May 29, 2004 8:25 pm

What a trip!

Today I was watching ESPN and they had the Indianapolis 500 Preview Parade on. One of the many marching bands performing in this parade were none other than the Star Of Indiana Alumni Corps!

They were only on screen for about 20 seconds or so, but it was great to get this on tape! Around 230 alumni were marching with the group. They played "Henry V", which was their opener in 1989 (I believe?). The commentators commented on how the alumni corps was formed to celebrate the groups 20th anniversary; they also commented how colorful the group looked.

This parade caught my eye because I happened to be looking at Star's website this morning, and clicked on a link to the Star Alumni site.

That was all the info on it. Pretty cool I must say!

If only Star could come back to DCI now...but that's just wishing.
