DCI in California?
I'm not talking about the Tour of Champions.
I'm talking about the possibility of finally seeing World Championships here before I die.

cool.
While Stanford would be a good surrounding venue for championships...it's not exactly the best accoustic environment to host championships...too bad San Francisco didn't get the bid for the 2012 games...they had a plan to completely re-vamp Stanford Stadium. San Jose St. is too small to host... 3 Com? maybe Network Associates? NO! What about Memorial Stadium at UC Berkeley? Wouldn't everyone love to see championships down in San Diego??? Maybe the DCI reps will be down there for WGI championships surveying the scene. We'll see I guess.

I would absolutely DIE if DCI had Championships in Southern California.
I saw Phantom for the first time in Summer of 2003 (and for what seems like the last time ), and they took my breath away.
And if there were more Corps just as awesome as Phantom all in ONE PLACE that's local to me... *sighs dreamily*
If Champs were to ever be in So Cal, I'd be the first in line for tickets!!!

Dude...I have heard this rumor too and if they are messing with me, heads are going to roll ! Besides, California, especially So Cal, is practically home of the world class marhing band (high school that is).
Here's my theory...
This year, the DCI Championships are in Denver, a.k.a. The Mile High City. Now, if your a mile up, then the air is thinner. If the air is thinner then it is harder to breathe and if it is harder to breathe then they can't play up to their full potential...with me?!? Why don't they just keep championships down in nice, sunny, pure ocean air So Cal? ....and they should keep them here! (twisted logic is great, eh?)
