I agree with all but the BD 1999 one. It's a good opener, and was the strength of that show, but I don't consider it one of the best openers of all-time.jjmachuca wrote:BD 1994 Last Drum solo from the low rolls to the high singlets. . Very Cool
SCV 99 'The Canyon' is just sick.
BD 1999 The Opener is the best ever. Probably most notes ever heard in a show as well.
Star 93 The Whole Show.
BD 97 The Snare solo in 'A Night in Tunisia' has the most notes played in BD.
Cadets 94 The Quad Line
BD 95 'Caribe' Tenor feature

For me, the ENTIRE 87 SCV show was incredible. Sitting in the stands and watching Russian Christmas that night was UNBELIEVABLE!! Probably one of the best drum corps moments ever. And I agree with you, the Great Gate push was pretty awesome, but for some reason, the 86 hornline sounded more balanced to me during that same push.clusknay wrote:What is the most powerful moment in a DCI show that really just sticks out in your memory???
For me...It was watching 87 SCV hit the Great Gate of Kiev push at Camp Randall Stadium. POWER, redefined in my mind.
Also, PR's closing 45 seconds of their show last year was UNREAL!!! LOVED IT!!
And VK's 92 "fat lady vs. the shark" extravaganza was UNBELIEVEABLE!! I was there in 1992, the stadium in Madison went absolutely haywire! That was a funny but powerful moment...
There's probably a million more...
