Cavaliers are the only Division I all male corps. As far as I know, I might be wrong.

AND IN DEAD LAST......................THE TROOPERS!

hello all, i'm a lead bari for troop. right now after two camps we're 110 members strong, only looking for marchers for a few sections that need to be filled. we're going full corps this year, we've got brand new horns being delivered to us in march, and we already have over half the show in music. we made a fierce comeback this year that really suprised the judging community, and this year we're going to do a hell of lot better. our eyes are focused on show number 30 at finals. you can count on it.

chaz

and for mtrdgbrass so's Madison Scouts ;)

I've gotta wonder, why is everyone leaving Crown out of the top 12? Yeah, last year was a down year for them, but before that, they had a 7 year finals streak. I think we're going to be back in finals this year. Our staff setup is awesome and our show ROCKS (sorryno leaks!) !!!!

My thoughts, back in November...

7. Crossmen
8. Boston Crusaders
9. Spirit
10. Bluecoats
11. Madison Scouts
12. Magic of Orlando
My thoughts now:
1. Blue Devils
2. Cavaliers
3. Santa Clara Vanguard
4. The Cadets
5. Phantom Regiment
6. Bluecoats
7. Glassmen
8. Boston Crusaders
9. Crossmen
10. Carolina Crown
11. Madison Scouts
12. Blue Knights
13. Magic of Orlando
14. Spirit of JSU
15. Seattle Cascades
16. Pacific Crest
17. Colts

For me, there's three "groups" in DCI: spots #1-4, spots #5-9, and spots #10-17. I can see ANY of the corps I listed making finals. I think the fight for spot #12 is going to (once again) be extremely fierce.

ugh, I wish you guys would at least say there is a chance for the troopers, but if you insist on being stubborn, we'll just have to show you this season.

How bout it

Post by Luv_Clean_Beats » Thu Apr 17, 2003 2:52 pm

To say that BD is a joke, is a joke. First of all Pingchi, the boys up there drummin' are drummin harder stuff than most anyone in DCI...I know because half of my buddies are up there...and I am am on Crossmen's snareline...we're playin' some stuff, but BD's is just sick. And you are pretty much lame to decide on whether or not a line is going to get smoked by seeing them in freakin' February. Grow up man..you're not an expert.

Okay, I'm sorry, but you cannot compare how an indoor drumline does to the Corps' DCI drumline. They are two different groups with different members and sometimes even different instructors. Blue Knights might have won the WGI championships, but they've never come close to have a score like BD, Cadets, or Cavies do year after year in their drumline scores during the season. The main point that I'm trying to say is that the score a drumline gets at WGI will have little or no effect on the Drum Corps' performance.

But you cannot compare WGI to DCI. Thats what I am trying to say, they are two different leagues with different members(I'm sure some are the same) and different staff members.
