Not all, just some.....

Staff, just like kids, sometimes want a change. Both organizations will give the kids and their staff a rewarding drum corps experience.

Good luck VK in 2011

I almost feel like every summer the So Cal drum corps gather and throw a bunch of the same instructor's names in a hat and then they draw their staff. We are lucky when a new name joins the potluck.

I understand that change is inevitable and that corps often decide of other creative teams while in design, however this is so unstable for the so cal youth trying to find a solid enough corps to join.

just my 2 cents.

We must remember that all staff regardless of the corp. are there for the kids and to help them perform to there fullest. If we start up the rumor mill with why did this staff leave and go here and another go there what message are we sending not only about a staff person but about each corp. that they represent. I know for a fact that the current VK staff are a great bunch of people and I have worked either with or side by side with most of them as well as the departed staff. Please lets stop the rumor mill. I know that both corps. will put out a great show this year and in years to come regardless of the staff. 8-)

Just My 2 cents.

Does that mean there's more food for me, too? Being a corps staff n00b is AWESOME!!! :b

Don't mind me, I'm just in silly mode and super psyched about City Sound's trip up north this weekend :D

Exactly, good buddy. I signed on with no real idea about who was on staff where and frankly didn't care. Nate & the other guys offered to let me do what I love doing for this first time w/a corps and I of course said, "YES!!!" I've met some amazing people on staff, not on staff, as well as some amazing young'ns in the corps and they're the reason I'm having a blast every day I get to spend with City Sound :D

Cheesy? Possibly.
All True? Very much so.
