“Gold is the current DCI Open Class reigning champion in Southern California which means we’re going to have some exciting new performance opportunities that our previous members will be excited about, as well as, new talent. We wanted to make sure we offered three different locations within Southern California in order to give every performer a chance at auditioning,” explained Executive Corps Director, Dr. Don Flaherty.
Gold’s additional audition dates and locations are scheduled for January 30, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Chino (Location TBA) and February 13, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in San Diego (Location TBA). The $30 cost of auditions covers all three audition dates.

dumb question here, but WHY would a potential member have to bring their instruments? especially the battery? do you not own any? and why just bass drums are provided? ok ok more than one question :?: :?:

CORRECTION: Look at Gold's website - the audition time is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. NOT 9:00 a.m. This has been confirmed with the membership director. Hope no one's confused.

^^My guess, because they're probably expecting more to audition than will actually be in the corps. I think most corps only buy enough instruments for the size of the corps, not the number of those auditioning ;)

Guard Guy 05 is correct. Gold only owns enough horns to field 50 horns.
