N.Y. Skyliners' Open House - November 30, 2003

The New York Skyliners will be hosting their annual Open House on Sunday, November 30, 2003, at Pocono Mountain East High School, in Swiftwater, PA. Sign In/Registration will be from 10 - 10:30 A.M. at the school. Anyone who is interested in finding out more about the N.Y. Skyliners, is invited to attend the open house. A luncheon will be served, followed by our first rehearsal from 12:30 - 4:00 P.M. Directions can be found at:

After a highly successful season in which the New York Skyliners have regained top 12 status in DCA, the corps will be fielding 44 Brass, 7 Snares, 4 Quints, 5 Bass, 4 Cymbals, a pit of 12 and a guard of 24 for the 2004 season. The Skyliners are a founding member of DCA, and will be competing in the Open Class Division for the 2004 season.

2004 N.Y. SKYLINERS' STAFF

The Program Coordinator and Brass Caption Head is Ray Troxell. He has been an instructor/adjudicator/arranger for over 35 years, and is a 30 year member of the National Judges Association.

Percussion Caption Head. Mark is returning to the N.Y. Skyliners for the 2003 season. Mark was a playing member/instructor from 1993-1994 (DCA Pit Ensemble Champions 1993). In addition to the N.Y. Skyliners, Mark has been associated with numerous organizations; deveral of these bands won championships ranging from TOB, USSBA, and BOA class and overall national champions.

Darren Delaney is returning as Color Guard Caption Head & Designer. The N.Y. Skyliners' 2004 Color Guard are the DCA I & E Champions.

John Veninger and Mike Coppola will be the Visual Caption Heads for the 2004 Season.

SUMMARY

The N. Y. Skyliners are based in Garfield, New Jersey and will conduct fall and winter rehearsals either at the American Legion Post 255 on Cedar Street in Garfield, N. J., the Elks Lodge in Lyndhurst, N.J. AND Pocono Mountain High School.
