Though the sting of Phantom losing Rennick will be lessened considerably if he ends up at SCV, as rumored.

Now, the big question: will SCV be sticking with Pearl (who they've had since... 1986? 1987?) or moving to Rennick's tie-in brand, Dynasty?

Personally, I love the sound of the Pearl marching snare. While they haven't been the cleanest recently, I just love the tone of SCV's battery.

I agree. The Pearls sound nice!

I also wonder if they will make the switch to IP and use his signature stick...

That would be kind of ironic considering their resistance to using IP after the 2004 season (which led to staff changes)...

Chuck Naffier returns to the Crossmen as brass arranger & consultant. Jason Buckingham will be the new brass caption head.

Huge move for the Crossmen. Chuck is one of the best, most under-appreciated brass arrangers in DCI history.

Another big announcement was made via FB:

Andre Feagin has announced his resignation as brass caption head of SCV.

Also on FB, Myron Rosander has announced his resignation as visual designer of Phantom Regiment. Evidently he has some health issues and will probably not be in DCI at all in 2011. :(

...and SCV has filled the brass caption head position rather quickly.
