what does a corps mean when they say they are sponsored or endorsed by this company or that one? do they get free stuff? is it the same for a high school

It usually means that 1.) They use that specific company's product, and 2.) They get a discount on buying said product.
Normally, high schools are not sponsored in the same way D and B corps or indoor lines are. Companies usually have the money to sponsor a corps or two, but not enough to sponsor the thousands of high schools across the country.
