The Return of White Plumes to DCI

Gone from the field since the mid 90's the return of the white plume has now hit all the current Top Corps this season wearing the military cadet style shako.....with one exception "Spirt" who'll probably have them next season. Crown and Colts have Green and Red respectfully.
But like 1994 when The Blue Devils first appeared having Black Plumes....they re-introduced the white plume last season....and like 1994 everyone followed...
Of course The Cadets never left the white plume.
Just something I noticed this season. I guess White is the new Black

Phantom Regiment went to white plumes in 2000 when they went to those khaki uniforms.

Bluecoats had white plumes every year up through 2007 when they changed uniforms.

Colts also had white plumes every year up through 2007 when they changed uniforms.

Carolina Crown had white plumes 2003-2005 when they first switched to the cream uniforms (since then they've gone purple, tan, and now green!)

I'm pretty sure Pioneer has had white plumes for a long time.

White plumes are on the field every year. Sometimes in helmets, sometimes in shakos. Nothing new. 8-)

I thought Pioneer wore sailor hats? With a clover on the front?

That is what they had Saturday in San Antonio anyway.

Correct. No plume involved.

Yep, they have the naval style cadet hats, but I was remembering them with a plume. I guess I was superimposing Michigan State on them.

Anyway, Blue Stars, Vanguard, Cavaliers... 8-)

Pioneer used to wear aussies with a two-colored plume similar to what SCV uses now.

I'm aware of this. I should have wrote there seems to be a large absence of BLACK PLUMES rather than more white plumes. Although this season there IS more white plumes on the field at least in the top 12. :?

The best change was Boston. Those white baldrics and white plumes REALLY look sharp on their uniforms.
