Gold is dedicated to giving students the performance, work and life skills necessary to succeed in our modern world. Dedication, loyalty, and honesty are the virtues that the Corps promotes. Achievement through perseverance and teamwork are the qualities that define the Corps

According to recent studies, students who participate in music education programs like Gold, outscore their non-music peers in all academic subject areas. Additionally kids involved in music programs have lower drop out rates, exhibit higher self-esteem and have significantly lower discipline problems throughout their educational careers.

Studies also show music ensembles like Gold provide invaluable learning experiences for participants. Gold helps students develop performance skills, self-discipline and the life skills associated with functioning as a contributing member of a highly motivated team.
