Anyone know how it's being edited? It seems like they're cutting out the entire scene out, but if they would just cut the music out, we could substitute with our own APDs.

Guess what showed up the day AFTER Christmas?

So I just watched the DVD. The cut isn't as bad as I feared. In fact, it happens in possibly the only part of the show that could have afforded a cut: towards the end of the extended first movement that makes up almost the first five minutes of the show. And it is pretty seamless. I mean, I said "hey, I think that's where the cut was," but it wasn't like a gigantic pothole in the middle of the performance.

The cut happens AFTER Spartacus kills the other gladiator in the arena (DIE!) and before the Adagio middle section, so it doesn't look like any vital story-telling plot elements got axed from the DVD.
