Division II & III competition cancelled tonight
8/07/2003 -- 8:15 PM CST

Due to heavy rains and an “unperformable” field, tonight’s Division II & III semifinals competition at Dr. Phillips High School has been called, and the competition for the evening has been cancelled.

The corps that performed tonight were seeded by virtue of their score into the finals competition on Saturday morning at the Citrus Bowl.

The corps that were unable to perform due to the inclement weather will perform in the order that was determined by their Tuesday quarterfinals finish.

This decision was reached by consensus of the Division II & III advisory board, under the direction of chairman George Brown, contest director Tom Hope, Division II & III coordinator J.W. Koester, and DCI executive director Dan Acheson.

Maybe they should think about hosting a Finals on the West Coast for a change?
