Favorite Chamber Music

Post by MalleTragic » Fri Aug 18, 2006 11:08 am

Okay, so there are already threads on favorite pieces for wind ensemble and symphony orchestra, but there is of course also a lot of good chamber music! So what are some of your favorite chamber music pieces?

Some of mine are:

"Fratres" by Arvo Part (the violin and piano version)

"Ogoun Badagris" by Christopher Rouse (percussion ensemble)

"Juba" by John Mackey (for electric string quartet and percussion)

"Octet" by Stravinsky (wind octet)

"Sonata for Clarinet" by Poulenc (Clarinet with piano accompaniment)...especially the 3rd movement.
Villa Park High School (02-06)- Drumline Captain
Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra (04-06)- Principal Percussion
Cleveland Institute of Music (06-10)- Undergraduate Timpani/Percussion Performance
