World of Pageantry

What are your favorite (i.e., BEST quality) adult community bands?

My list would have to include:

Northshore Concert Band, suburban Chicago

Dallas Wind Symphony, metro Dallas

Tara Winds, suburban Atlanta

Some that are "up and coming" might include:

Pensacola Civic Band, from Florida

Gainesville Civic Band, also from Florida

Corpus Christi Wind Symphony, from Texas

San Jose Wind Symphony (www.sjws.org) - I've had a chance to play a couple times with the SJWS. Pretty good ensemble.

Pierce College Community Wind Ensemble (Los Angeles) - I just remember hearing the Pierce group when we (CSUN Wind Symphony) did a joint concert with them back in the 90's. Amazing group.
