anyone have any good ideas for music for a small jazz ensemble?

prefferably with cool trumpet solos or duets 8-)

I believe you have a flugelhorn, so how about some Chuck Mangione? You may also consider some Maynard Ferguson charts. Who is leading jazz band this year?

I would check out some of Gorden Godwins stuff, Particularly Horn of Puente if your feeling brave

otherwise, look at the Walrous Music Pub site if you want to check out some more

Maynard Ferguson!? are you crazy!?!? i would lose two of my favorite body parts if i tried to play his stuff!

and isaac is leading it this year.

As far as playing maynard charts, I'm sure there are some that high school jazz ensembles can play. As far as Isaac leading the jazz band, very cool. As far as you losing two of your favorite body parts......well....um........no big deal? :evil: :lol: Just kidding!
