Next Brass meeting will be Sunday January 9th
10 am to 5pm at Cerritos College Music Room

For all who are interested in securing a position with Impulse in the brass section for the 2005 Season, please attend this brass rehearsal.

If you are a curious musician, former attendee of an Impulse workshop or member from any previous year, treat yourself to a special experience with the Brass line instructional staff and enjoy the level of excellence we offer.

Doug McKenna is the Principal instructor for IMPULSE 2005. He is not only the band director of the music wonder La Puente HS Band, He is also a "working" Trumpet Professional who's passion for sharing excellence with young and more experienced musicians is provided through IMPULSE Drum & Bugle Corps.

Because of Doug McKenna' s fantastic and engaging teaching talents, Impulse is seeing a 65% retention of brass members from the 2004 season. This is a sign things are Very Good!

Each person and ability level is challenged with each meeting. The college level performance majors and the high school level musicians all walk away improved and with tools to continue improving.

With the imminent approval of doing the music from the "INCREDIBLES" and the fantastic professional musicians and educators working with our brass line this season, you will experience a quality and culture of excellence never before with this IMPULSE group.

We have evaluated the highest number of brass musicians to date over the last 4 weeks, 2005 is another year of significant improvement and will be a significantly excellent Drum & Bugle corps no one has ever witnessed from Impulse.

If you are a serious brass musician, don't miss an opportunity to be taught by one of the finest musicians in our area. Just because it's Drum Corps doesn't mean it's not professional caliber instruction.

Please bring your own mouthpiece if you play Mellophone, Marching Baritone (large shank) or Tuba. Bring your own trumpet if you plan to audition for the "soprano" section.

Bring no preconceptions other than to play with an extremely fine brass ensemble.

No Charge to attend, fees and fee schedule when you commit to membership.
