The following excerpt is taken from the official James Logan HS website, http://www.loganbandandcolorguard.org:

Quote:
The James Logan Wind Symphony has been invited to play a joint concert with the National Youth Orchestra, under the direction of Lucas Foss, at New York City's world renowned Carnegie Hall. The dates of the trip will be May 25th - 29th, 2006. Planning is now underway. Once again, congratulations to the Wind Symphony on another fine achievement.

Yeah - welcome to my world. When I was still in band at Logan, the previous year before my Freshman year Logan had already gone to Hawaii. And then the year after my Senior year, Logan performed in the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade in New York. How neglected the Class of 1999 was (sigh)...

Well I shouldn't complain so much. My sophomore year at Logan during the 1996 fall marching season, the band competed at the Bands of America regional competition in Las Vegas, Nevada. So I guess that was the one truly awesome band trip for the Class of 1999.
