Santa Clara County Honor Band Auditions...Plan now!
Audition information is posted at the website: http://www.sccbda.org.
Remember, you are required to make ALL rehearsals (in their entirity). No ifs, ands, or buts.
You guys (and gals) have a biggie for guest conductor this season. It should be a great concert!

SCCBDA Soloist Audition and Composition Contest - Nov. 30th
I forgot to mention that there is a soloist audition/composition contest associated with the SCCBDA Honor Band.
Students who choose to do the soloist audition "should" have an accompanist (for a better solo audition experience). Make time to have your director(s) listen to make sure you are prepared. You must also have a copy of the band parts to the concerto piece already in your possession! Phone orders in progress/trying to rent the pieces is not acceptable. If you are chosen to be the soloist and you don't have the band parts, the next person on the list will be offered the position.
For student compositions, have 5 copies of the score and a CD recording (or midi recording on CD). You might also let your director(s) listen & read through the scores.
What: SCCBDA Soloist Audition and Composition Contest
Where: Monta Vista High School Instrumental Music Room F114
21840 McClellan Rd.
Cupertino, CA. 95012
When: Wednesday November 30th at 7:00pm
How: Sign up on the sheet provided when you arrive. This will determine the order you will be heard.

It's 2 weeks from today (in case you weren't keeping track).

Just a reminder that the concert is tomorrow. I've been watching the rehearsals for the past two days. It should be a really good concert. If you still aren't sure of the location, go to the calendar section and the link is there (it's the only event scheduled for 1/22).
